open-PLAYER – TECHNOLOGY

While artists’ DVDs are illegally copied into infinite personal libraries and podcasts become the next new medium for artmaking, the usability of these portable media has yet to be well-tapped for the safe marketing and dissemination of video works by artists and their galleries. Open- PLAYER has taken the initiative to create the technology allowing protected ownership or temporary possession of video works through high-quality trasmissions to their subscribers. In cooperation with galleries and archives, this service will open up new avenues in the classroom or on the salesfloor.
